BAFANA BEAT SAO TOME 2-0 IN DURBAN ON FRIDAY
Bafana will take on Sao Tome at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Monday afternoon for the second time in four days after beating their fellow Africans 2-0 in Durban on Friday night.
News from the Bafana camp is that Maela sat out Sunday’s training session due to a blow he picked up in Durban.
“Of the travelling team, only Innocent Maela sat out of training on Sunday suffering from a slight knock he received in the Durban match on Friday and is likely to sit out on this encounter,” SAFA confirmed on their website.
“Lyle Lakay is expected to be drafted in his place while Zungu who had a blinder of a game soon after coming on during Friday’s match, is set to earn a starting berth,” read the report.
The match is scheduled to begin at 15:00.
Bafana are currently second in Group C behind Ghana. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the tournament to be held in Cameroon in early 2022.
