Former Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is in the news once again – for the wrong reasons.

The now Wales manager has been arrested on suspicion of assault, British media have reported.

VICTIM DID NOT REQUIRE TREATMENT

Police were called to the 46-year-old former Manchester United winger’s home at 22:05 on Sunday after receiving reports of a disturbance.

A statement from the Greater Manchester Police noted that a woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries, but didn’t require treatment.

The statement went on to confirm that a ’46-year-old man was arrested’, but was ‘released on bail pending enquiries’.

Giggs has reportedly been dating his current partner Kate Greville since 2018, following the break-up of his marriage amid tabloid revelations he had had an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri’s wife.

WON 13 PREMIER LEAGUE TITLES AT OLD TRAFFORD

Giggs spent his entire playing career with Manchester United, making 672 appearances and scoring 114 goals in 23 Premier League seasons with the club.

During that time, he won an incredible 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions Leagues.

Having briefly managed Manchester United on an interim basis following the sacking of David Moyes in April 2014, Giggs took his first steps into management when he replaced Chris Coleman as Wales coach in 2018.

Wales are set to face the United States in a friendly in Swansea on November 12. It is unclear at this stage whether Giggs will be allowed to remain in charge.
