More PSL fixtures are scheduled for this coming Tuesday as Wednesday, following an exciting weekend of top-flight action.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns remain on top of the standings, while Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic are in the drop zone.
Midweek PSL fixtures
There is a solitary fixture on Tuesday, and it’s the Soweto Derby between Moroka Swallows and Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium.
The two rivals meet for the first time in the league since 2015, following the Dube Birds’ lengthy spell in the wilderness after their relegation.
It has been a tough start to the season for the visitors, who have not tasted victory in their last four outings across competitions, while the hosts are in second place as they remain unbeaten so far after four games.
Both had to settle for a point apiece over the weekend, with Chiefs playing to an entertaining 2-2 draw away to Golden Arrows, while Swallows failed to find the net in their goalless encounter against TS Galaxy.
The other midweek PSL fixture is between two clubs who had contrasting fortunes on the weekend, as Black Leopards visit Bloemfontein Celtic at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.
Lidoda Duvha fans will be relieved after their team got off the mark, and away from the relegation zone, by defeating fellow strugglers Maritzburg United in Thohoyandou.
They are up against a side also not enjoying the best of starts to the season, collecting a single point in their four games.
Celtic are second from bottom, just a spot above their opponents, who will be looking to add to their first points of the campaign.
