There appears to be no end in sight to the injury woes currently being experienced by Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Amakhosi on Tuesday confirmed two new concerns ahead of their DStv Premiership clash against Black Leopards on Wednesday.

Midfielder Dumisani Zuma looks set to miss the clash at the FNB Stadium (kick-off at 19:30).

The 25-year-old has yet to feature under new coach Gavin Hunt this season, having ended last season with a hamstring injury.

While the club previously indicated that the former Bloemfontein Celtic star had returned to training, it has now been stated that he is unavailable for the midweek match.

“Dumsani Zuma has picked up a hamstring injury in training,” read a statement from Amakhosi.

Meanwhile, adding to Hunt’s headache is midfielder Kearyn Baccus who will also not be available.

“Kearyn Baccus has a thigh muscle strain. Both players will undergo scanning and an update will be reported,” added the statement.

CHIEFS DOWN IN 13TH PLACE IN THE LOG

Chiefs find themselves down in 13th spot in the standings, albeit having played one fewer match than the majority of their rivals.

Worryingly though, they are already nine points behind defending champions and current log-leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Black Leopards are faring even worse, down in 15th-place with just three points from their opening five matches of the season.
