Khune, who also committed a costly error during the 2-2 draw with Black Leopards last week, saw his distribution let him down once again in Matsatsantsa’s opening goal scored by Bradley Grobler on the stroke of half-time.
When the Amakosi mentor was pressed for comment on Khune’s most recent error in his post-match interview, Hunt simply said: “We’ve got to really look at it and we’ll go back and start again and look at the situation and take it from there.”
KHUNE WAS OPEN AND HONEST
In his own interview, Khune was open and honest enough to admit to his mistake, taking full responsibility and promising to work to eradicate such errors going forward.
Despite the loss, Chiefs remained 12th in the DStv Premiership standings, but now find themselves a yawning 11 points behind current log leaders, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Chiefs will next be in action in the league on Saturday, December 19 at their FNB Stadium home against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Kick-off is at 18:00.
Whether Khune is in goal remains to be seen …
