Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Champions League clash postponed – until Saturday

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs’ Champions League clash against PWD Bamenda has been postponed.

BAMENDA RAN INTO VISA ISSUES

Bamenda contacted Amakhosi on Thursday requesting a postponement to their preliminary second leg clash scheduled for Friday at 18:00 at the FNB Stadium after reportedly running into issues with their visas.

Amakhosi have confirmed that CAF has agreed to the request to delay the match by 24 hours.

“CAF have approved our proposal to play the match on Saturday 05 December 2020. We await the team’s arrival. Kick-off is set for 18h00,” the statement read.

Gavin Hunt’s side hold a vital 1-0 advantage after Eric Mathoho’s away goal in the first-leg clash Limbe last Sunday.

The winner of the tie will face Angolan giants Primeiro de Agosto for a place in the 2020/21 group stage of Africa’s elite club competition.
