Bafana Bafana star midfielder Thulani Serero has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a contract extension with his Al Jazira club who play in the UAE Arabian Gulf League.

Al Jazira confirmed on Monday that Serero has extended his stay after he penned a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2023.
“Since joining the club in 2019 I have felt at home and thrilled to extend my contract with this great club,” Serero told the club’s website.
“The fans have welcomed me since day one and I want to give back to them and I am targeting silverware during my time at the club. I would like to thank everyone at the club from my teammates to the fans to the board of directors for their support which really means a lot.”
Thulani Serero has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Al Jazira since joining the club from Dutch side Vitesse in 2019.
Prior to that, Serero enjoyed spells at both Ajax Cape Town and Ajax Amsterdam.
Serero has made 41 Bafana Bafana appearances.
