Egyptian legend Hossam Hassan has hit out at Al Ahly manager Pitso Mosimane following a 4-0 defeat to the defending league champions.
Hassan, currently the assistant coach at Al Ittihad, believes Al Ahly are regressing under Pitso Mosimane despite dropping points just once.
Mosimane has led Al Ahly to a near perfect record since taking over with the CAF Champions League champions winning 13 out of the 14 games while the remaining game ended in a draw.
Hassan hits out at Pitso Mosimane
“If Haris, Al Ahly’s kit man, took charge of Al Ahly, he will win trophies,” Hassan said as quoted by KingFut.
“If we [Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan] took charge of Al Ahly we will win trophies. If Pitso coached any other team in the league, he will get sacked after two games
“Al Ahly wasn’t good against us in the Egypt Cup nor in their last games nor in the CAF Champions League,”
Al Ahly have lifted the Egyptian Premier League, Egyptian Cup and CAF Champions League under Pitso Mosimane however Hassan believes Mosimane is a below average manager that won’t succeed at another Egyptian team.
Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly cruised past Hassan’s Al Ittihad on Monday to further extend their lead atop the Egyptian Premier League standings. Al Ahly sit one point clear of El Gouna with a game in hand following their perfect start to the new season.
