One of the oldest names in South African football, Moroka Swallows will be back in the top flight of the PSL after a 3-0 victory over Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) on the final day of the GladAfrica Championship season.
Moroka Swallows gain automatic promotion
The Dube Birds came into the clash level on points with Ajax Cape Town, who were a goal short in terms of goal-difference between the two sides.
They went into the break two-goals up, courtesy of Kagiso Malinga and Given Thibedi, while the Urban Warriors managed just a single goal at halftime through an early strike from Sonwabile Mfecane.
Swallows ensured that Ajax had a mountain to climb in the second half, with Malinga completing his brace on the hour-mark to make it 3-0.
That pretty much illuminated their path to the top tier of SA football, where they have not featured since their 2015 relegation, which triggered a remarkable slide through the lower leagues.

Ajax Cape Town to play in the PSL promotion playoffs
For Ajax, who went into the break on pole position, the outcome of the championship means they are banished to the promotion/relegation playoffs.
This is despite finding a late goal through former Bafana striker Eleazor Rodgers, who netted from the penalty spot in the 85th minute.
They are now set to compete alongside TTM and whoever finishes 15th in the Premiership.
The playoffs kick off on Sunday, 6 September and run until the 21st.
