Baroka FC place Dylan Kerr under suspension – report

Baroka FC head coach Dylan Kerr has been placed under suspension at the Limpopo outfit just weeks after helping Bagaga avoid relegation.

The 53-year-old former left-back successfully avoided relegation while guiding the club to the Nedbank Cup semi-final round however, off-field politics has seemingly turned the relationship between employer and employee sour.

Kerr took charge of Baroka just past the halfway mark of the season and managed the club for a total of 19 matches in which he came away with 24 points courtesy of seven wins, three draws and nine losses.

Kerr upset with the way Baroka is being run

Reports have since emerged claiming the English born manager has been suspended after speaking out against the way the club is being run.

Kerr made his frustrations public following a massive league victory over Mamelodi Sundowns during the closing stages of the 2019/20 campaign by slamming his employers on live television.

“I know my job. I know my job because I have studied it for 30-odd years as a player and a coach and if people leave me alone to do my job, I’ll make this club a success.” Kerr told SuperSport TV.

Baroka suspend head coach

According to reports, the Baroka FC head coach has been placed under suspension until a further decision is taken regarding his future. Kerr has three more years left on his contract in Limpopo.

“Yes it’s true, the coach is suspended but I can’t talk now, I’m in a meeting.” Baroka FC club manager Richard Mashabane told Kick-Off.

Baroka FC have began their preparations ahead of the 2020/2021 campaign however it remains to be seen whether Dylan Kerr will be taking charge of the side come match day one.
