IEC warns public against fake online election committee job ads
An ad widely circulated on social media states that an ‘election committee’ has announced 50,000 vacancies for young people.

JOHANNESBURG – The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) is warning the public to guard against fake and fraudulent online job advertainments using its name to obtain personal information from desperate job seekers.
An ad widely circulated on social media states that an “election committee” has announced 50,000 vacancies for young people.
But the IEC said there were currently no such jobs at the organisation.
