Kaizer Chiefs will not have much time to dwell on their opening-day defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, with their next Premier Soccer League (PSL) fixture just days away.
The Glamour Boys suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss at home to their rivals after a lacklusture performance at FNB Stadium.
No time to dwell on humiliation
Coach Gavin Hunt has admitted that his side came up against a superior outfit in the defending champions, who were a class above the Soweto giants.
“We committed crucial mistakes against a quality side,” Hunt is quoted on the official Kaizer Chiefs website. “They were a stronger opposition.”

The former Bidvest Wits coach, who gave a couple of academy graduates game time on the day, added;
“The youngsters gave us something. Obviously, with more game intelligence we will improve. It is not the results we were looking for but now we have to focus on the next opposition.”

Potential banana peel ahead for Kaizer Chiefs
Their next assignment is a tricky one against the unpredictable Chippa United, who walked off with an away draw against Cape Town City in the Mother City on Saturday night.
Hunt says he had the opportunity to have a look at his next opponents ahead of the game on Tuesday.
“Chippa is totally a different side compared to Sundowns. They will be a different challenge. To me there is no first game. I read a lot from any game. We have lots of work to do going forward. But don’t forget we played against the best team in the league in Sundowns.”

The match between Chiefs and Chippa will take place behind closed doors at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday night.
In their last visit to the Windy City, Chiefs ran off 2-0 winners, thanks to a brace from Dumisani Zuma.
Tuesday’s game kicks off at 19:30.
