Bafana Bafana winger Luther Singh has cautioned against undermining any opponents ahead of the fixture against Zambia on Sunday.
The 23-year-old was on the scoresheet when South Africa was held to a one-all draw by Namibia at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Thursday, and will be eyeing a rare starting berth at the same venue against Chipolopolo.
Having failed to register a result against a team many would have expected the hosts to beat, Sunday’s match could pose a stiffer challenge for Molefi Ntseki’s men.
Luther Singh looks ahead to Zambia clash
They come up against a side coached by a man who is no stranger to South African football in former Orlando Pirates mentor, Milutin Sredojevic.
Singh believes neither Namibia nor Zambia should be underestimated.
“For me every opponent is equal. We can’t underestimate the team we played on Thursday‚ and we can’t underestimate Zambia‚” Singh said. “For us we go onto the pitch and we do what we have to do. It’s the same opponent for us‚ like everyone is the same. “There’s no country bigger than another country. Although there are names on the field‚ it’s XI vs XI.”
