TTM blocking Kaizer Chiefs target Nange’s exit – reports

Former Bidvest Wits winger Phathutshedzo Nange is reportedly locked in a struggle to gain his release from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) who took over the player’s contract when they bought his former club’s PSL franchise.

TTM are believed to be refusing to give Nange his clearance despite the player having no desire to turn out for the Limpopo-based club.

TTM blocking the exit of Kaizer Chiefs target

Nange faces stiff opposition in his quest to be released and even if he succeeds there is no guarantee that Kaizer Chiefs will be able to sign him due to their ongoing legal battle against a transfer ban.

A source close to the player says that TTM are wasting their time trying to strongarm Nange into staying believing that any sound arbiter would rule in favour of the former Black Leopards man.

“The player is still fighting for his clearance. Eish, it’s bad. TTM wants the player to play for them next season,” a source close to the player told

“But TTM are just wasting their time on this because they won’t win. If this thing goes to the DRC they won’t win it. With Bidvest Wits selling the club, that is change of conditions already.

“Remember he signed with Wits, not with them. So he’s got a right to ask to be released. They won’t win it. He will get his clearance. They must allow him to leave.”

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila can’t keep Bidvest Wits stars

TTM have not managed to convince many of the Bidvest Wits players to make the move to Limpopo.

Former Wits skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo, winger Deon Hotto and striker Terrence Dzvukamanja have all joined Orlando Pirates after the demise of the Johannesburg club.

Strikers Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa will be joined by goalkeeper Ricardo Goss at Mamelodi Sundowns. Motupa agreed to join Downs before the club sold its franchise while Goss and Domingo negotiated their moves in the bio-bubble.

Fullback Zitha Macheke has joined Stellenbosch FC, while Bienvenu Eva Nga is headed to the Eastern Cape and Chippa United.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho has engineered a move abroad joining Viborg in the second-tier of Norwegian football.

Another of Nange’s former teammates Sifiso Hlanti has already started training with Hunt at Naturena as he awaits a resolution on his future.

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly keen on a double swoop for Hlanti and Nange provided they can get their transfer ban lifted or suspended. Protection Status
