Lewis Hamilton has won an action-packed Bahrain Grand Prix that finished under a Safety Car at the Sakhir circuit.
The race was red flagged on the opening lap after a frightening crash by Haas driver Romain Grosjean.
The French driver escaped death when his car exploded into a ball of flames after crashing into the barriers. Miraculously he only suffered minor burns and was airlifted to hospital.
Hamilton won the 95th race of his career ahead of Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Alex Albon as Racing Point’s Sergio Perez brought out a Safety Car after his car also burst into flames in the closing laps.
