Former England player and top commentator Robin Jackman dies

Former England cricketer and top commentator, Robin Jackman, has died.

He was 75.

JACKMAN PLAYED 4 TESTS AND 15 ODIS FOR ENGLAND

‘Jackers’ as he was affectionately known, was born in India, and would go on to play four Tests and 15 ODIs for England.

He also represented Rhodesia, Surrey and Western Province.

Following his retirement, he became a household name in the commentary box with his astute knowledge of the game.

Jackman was diagnosed with cancer in late 2012.

It is believed his died at his Cape Town home on Christmas afternoon.

The South African’s condolences go out to Robin Jackman’s family and friends.
