DStv Premiership new boys, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM), have appointed former Kaizer Chiefs legend David Mathebula as coach of their reserve team.
FIRST MATCH IN CHARGE THIS SUNDAY
According to the Kick-Off website, Mathebula is set to lead TTM’s reserves when they take on Maritzburg United in the DStv Diski Challenge set for Giant Stadium in Soshanguve on Sunday.
The Limpopo-based side are set to make their debut in the reserve league this season after the club bought the PSL status of Bidvest Wits at the end of last season.
Mathebula briefly worked as joint caretaker coach alongside Phuthi Mohafe at TTM last year after Moma Medic was sacked, so will not be in totally unfamiliar territory. He left the club after Dutch coach Erol Akbay was appointed in October 2019.
MATHEBULA HAS 2 BAFANA BAFANA CAPS
Mathebula, now 37, played 79 matches for Kaizer Chiefs between 2004-2011.
The former midfielder also represented Dynamos, Black Aces, Moroka Swallows, SuperSport United and Tshakhuma.
Mathebula has two Bafana Caps to his name back in 2013.
