Just in | Opening ODI postponed after Proteas player tests positive for Covid-19

Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the England Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed the postponement of Friday’s first One-Day International (ODI) of their three-match series.

This follows after an unnamed Proteas player tested positive for Covid-19 after the teams’ last round of scheduled testing performed on Thursday.

In the interests of the safety and the well-being of both teams, match officials and all involved in the match, the opening match will now be played on Sunday in Paarl at 10:00.

Amended ODI series dates:

Sunday, December 6 – 1st ODI, Boland Park, Paarl – 10:00

Monday, December 7 – 2nd ODI, Newlands – 13:00

Wednesday, December 9 – 3rd ODI, Newlands – 13:00
