Mosimane completes historic double treble in single season

The year 2020 will forever be remembered for a number of things, mainly negative it must be said. However for one Pitso Mosimane, this year will go down in the history books after the South African tactician won two trebles in arguably the two strongest leagues on the continent.

After a triple triumph in South Africa with Mamelodi Sundowns during the 2019/20 campaign, Pitso Mosimane completed his second treble of the season courtesy of a Cup triumph in Egypt.

Mosimane earns trophy number six for the season

Mosimane’s Al Ahly earned a dramatic penalty shootout victory over El Gaish FC in the Egyptian Cup final earlier this evening taking his tally to six major trophies for the season.

Mosimane led Mamelodi Sundowns to the Absa Premiership, Telkom Knockout and Nedbank Cup before lifting the Egyptian Premier League, CAF Champions League and Egyptian Cup with Al Ahly.

Trophy number seven remains a strong possibility for Mosimane with Al Ahly set to face Morocco’s RSB Berkane in the 2019/20 CAF Super Cup. The match was originally scheduled to take place on the 10th of December however it’s now rumoured to be delayed according to KingFut.
