Siviwe Mpengesi’s patience seems to have once again run out with Chippa United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema earning himself a suspension based on poor performance.
Notorious for hiring and firing, Mpengesi is sharpening his axe which is headed straight for Seema following his disaster start to the new campaign.
Chippa United have picked up just five points from their opening eight games and currently sit in 14th position, just above the relegation zone on goal difference.
Seema suspended at Chippa United
Siviwe Mpengesi has reportedly issued Lehlohonolo Seema with an email claiming his fate will be decided in an emergency board meeting this afternoon while relieving him of his duties with immediate effect.
“We write to you to under strenuous circumstances for the club where in the current season no victory for the club and a string of three defeats in a row‚ most recently to AmaZulu FC.” the leaked email said as reported by TheHerald.
“The results under your tenure are an extreme cause for concern and need immediate addressing in line with your contract of employment and more particularly those pertaining to performance.
“Having stated the above‚ kindly be informed that the shareholders and board have called an urgent meeting to deliberate on the matter. Pending the outcome of such deliberations‚ kindly excuse yourself from all formal duties‚ including any further training sessions with immediate effect.”
Seema joined Chippa United after a promising stint at Bloemfontein Celtic where he managed to earn 10 victories in 28 matches in the Free State.
