Tau made his debut for the Seagulls off the bench in their third round FA Cup win on penalties against Notts County on Sunday.
In the fourth round, Brighton will host Blackpool.
Blackpool current compete in League One, the third tier in the English football league system.
BRIGHTON WILL BE FAVOURED TO BEAT BLACKPOOL
Should Brighton get past Blackpool – as they will be expected to do – they will face an away clash in the fifth round against the winner of the Brentford v Leicester clash.
Brentford are currently in fourth place in the Championship league and will be no pushovers for top-flight Leicester, especially at their Brentford Community Stadium home ground.
The fourth round ties will be played across the weekend of January 22-25 with the fifth round taking place between February 9-11.
