While coach Benni McCarthy initially said he wasn’t looking to make changes to his squad when he took the helm recently, he has had a change of heart after a series of poor results.

The KwaZulu-Natal side hasn’t won in four matches, during which time they have drawn three and lost one fixture.

After only a couple of months since being recalled from a loan spell at Royal Eagles, Somila Ntsundwana, has become the first player to move on.

The 24-year-old striker has been struggling for game time at the club and has now joined GladAfrica Championship side, Richards Bay.

He joins the Natal Rich Boyz on loan until the end of the season.

One assumes he will be looking to impress McCarthy in his time at his new club, while McCarthy will no doubt be keeping an eye on the player as well.

AMAZULU NEXT IN ACTION AGAINST BAROKA FC

AmaZulu find themselves down in 10th place in the standings after 12 matches, a far cry from the top 4 position McCarthy spoke about achieving at his unveiling at the club.

AmaZulu will next be in action against eighth-placed Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 23 January.

Kick-off is at 17:00.
