Al Ahly’s veteran striker Walid Soliman scored a brace to guide his team to a 4-1 win over El Entag El Harby in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
The other two goals were scored by Ali Maaloul and Hussein El-Shahat.
AL AHLY REMAIN UNBEATEN UNDER PITSO MOSIMANE
The win extended the unbeaten streak the side has enjoyed since Pitso Mosimane took over as coach in October last year.
Mosimane, the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, guided Al Ahly to the domestic treble last season and also landed the ‘Big Fish’, the CAF Champions League title.
The Red Devils are off to a fast start in their season’s Egyptian league and are currently top of the standings.
They also progressed smoothly into the group stages of the CAF Champions League in defence of their crown.
TOP OF THE STANDINGS IN EGYPT
Their latest victory puts Al Ahly back on top of the log after six matches, of which Mosimane’s side has won five and drawn one.
They lead bitter rivals Zamalek on goal difference as the cream has risen to the top in Egypt.
