Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed that Migael Pretorius has been released from the Proteas Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) due to a muscle injury to his right shoulder.
He will return to his Knights franchise for rehabilitation.
HENDRICKS RETURNS TO PROTEAS TEST SQUAD
Meanwhile, Beuran Hendricks has been reinstated to the Proteas Test squad following the completion of thorough Covid-19 and pre-BSE entry protocols.
Hendricks rejoined the team on Tuesday evening.
The left-arm seamer will begin training with the team ahead of the second Test match against Sri Lanka with immediate effect.
There was no update from CSA regarding Keegan Petersen who, like Hendricks, didn’t enter the initial BSE having failed a Covid-19 test.
South Africa currently lead the two-Test series 1-0 after victory by an innings and 45 runs in the first match at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
The second and final clash will take place at the Wanderers from January 3-7, 2021.
