Chiefs won 2-1.

Chiefs took the lead in the seventh minute through midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

Defender Happy Mashiane doubled the lead in the 17th minute as Chiefs appeared to be cruising to a comfortable victory.

However, they were forced to endure some anxious moments when Fagrie Lakay pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute for the home side.

Amakhosi managed to hang on for the victory, however, much to the relief of coach Gavin Hunt and banked another vital three log points having beaten AmaZulu 1-0 in their last outing.

With the win Chiefs moved up to eighth in the log, while Cape Town City remained in sixth place.

Chiefs will next be in action at home to TTM on Tuesday, 19 January at 17:00.
