Kaizer Chiefs academy star James McFarlane has tragically passed on after being involved in a devastating motor-vehicle accident on Thursday night.
James McFarlane, 18-years-old, was the captain of the Kaizer Chiefs under-17 academy team before making the jump to the reserve side this year. McFarlane was also a regular for national under-17 side, the Amajimbos.
McFarlane’s death was confirmed by his managing agency, Siyavuma Sports Group, on Friday 06 November. A statement released by the sports management agency regarding the death of the Kaizer Chiefs star read:
“It’s with a very heavy heart that we advise that James McFarlane, Kaizer Chiefs U19 and SA national U17 team player has passed away in a tragic accident. We have lost one of our family.”
