Tahir’s withdrawal was confirmed on Monday by his side, the Melbourne Renegades.

The Renegades, the 2018/19 champions, have got off to a slow start in this year’s Covid-19-delayed tournament and after four matches they are down in seventh place, well outside the playoff spots.
